Adobe Photoshop CS6 Photoshop CS6 runs 64-bit native on Mac OS X, Microsoft® Windows Vista®, and Windows® 7 platforms. It can also run in 32-bit mode on Windows platforms, including Windows XP (although Photoshop Extended’s 3D features and some GPU-accelerated functions are not available on XP). Adobe on Thursday released a beta version of its forthcoming Photoshop CS6 as a free trial download. Since its debut in 1990, Photoshop has received major revisions over a dozen times, but David Howe, Adobe director of engineering for Photoshop, insists the update process hasn't become a rote activity.
